Wee Willy Winky

Project Description

What was your source for this knitting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Wee Willy Winky Link to website or photo www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/wee-willy-winky-2 What are you most proud of? The cuteness :) What advice would you give someone starting this project? This pattern is inspired by the poem of the 1800s and contains instructions to make the Nightgown, Nightcap and Slippers. (The nightcap will also fit a 0-3 month old baby). The pattern contains a photo-tutorial on how to make a tassel. The outfit is knitted flat, on straight 3 1/4mm needles and would be suitable for a novice knitter (although perhaps not an absolute beginner). There are simple stripes in the Nightgown, and the neckline and hem require you to be able to Pick-Up and Knit. The Nightcap contains a simple, single cable which might be a nice project for someone wanting to try cables for the first time. The little slippers are designed to stay on the doll with gentle play but for more energetic activity they can be stored in the front pocket.

What you will need

  • 3 1/4mm needles and 4ply yarn
