I am using yarn i am handspinning as i knit along. The fiber is BFL handpainted roving from Mountain Colors I bought at a wonderful little shop in Fairbanks
called A weaver's Yarn owned by a wonderfully welcoming Susan. I bought the fiber inspired by the beautiful autumn colors. I headed out to a remote camp shortly after.
I always travel with 2 drop spindles in my bag.
One is for spinning a single ply
the other for plying navaho style into a 3 ply yarn to keep the colors together and allowing for long color changes.
The completed scarf in the photo uses Brown sheep sport weight yarn that i over dyed a deep rich purple.
