Two Color Brioche Baby Blanket

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I like how the two-color pattern works with the cable detail - looks like piped icing! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Be patient - the technique makes it take longer to build up length, but it is fairly easy once you learn the technique.

Q&A with Lizella

mmrm7993 asked:
I am looking for brioche knitting patterns for a throw or baby blanket. Do you have the written instructions for this? How do I get the pattern?
Lizella answered:
Sorry, this was one that I improvised. I can tell you that I used Knitting Brioche by Nancy Marchant for reference. It is a repeat over 16 stitches - 8 stitches straight brioche and 8 stitches that become the cable section. I cabled every 6 broiche pair rows. I think my total stitch count across was 152 stitches, starting and ending with a straight brioche section. with a US8 circular needle.
