Striped Socks

Project Description

What was your source for this knitting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo How to knit socks Link to website or photo http://www.anniesattic.com/detail.html?prod_id=23735 What are you most proud of? I finished them. After ripping them out 6 or 8 times, I finally did finish the pair. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Know the basics of knitting socks. I used the book How to Knit Socks Three Methods Made Easy, by Edie Eckman, I didn't find these easy and the directions were confusing to me. But I stuck with it and ended up with a pair that fit me, however my toe finishing needs work. After wearing them for a day I discovered holes in the toe end. But I will try knitting socks again, may look for a different pattern though.

What you will need

Hi! I just joined Craftsy and I don't know how long you have had this posted, but I saw your comments and wanted to share what I have learned. I am currently working on my first pair of socks and searched high and low on the internet for an easy pattern. What I found has helped me a whole lot! It is not a pattern exactly, but has served as one for me, it is more basic step by step simple to understand directions telling the basic 'how to'. Here is the web address; http://cometosilver.com/socks/ I am currently working on the One Sock on four Double Pointed Needles pattern. Hope this helps you and whoever might be reading!

Thanks I'll check that out if I ever get the notion to knit another pair of socks, but that is unlikely. Working on baby booties now, and I don't even have babies in the family anymore. Guess I'll donate to them
