Q&A with dagmar.li1275397

Paca Ranch Girl asked:
Great project. Where ever did you find that fabulous pattern?
dagmar.li1275397 answered:
I haven't got any pattern. I saw the shape and tried to make something usefull out of it.
wi.dg.et1020513 asked:
How do I get the pattern please
dagmar.li1275397 answered:
Actually, I have no pattern at all, but I try to remember. Therefore, the instructions are very incomplete. But with some experience and imagination, you can surely fill the gaps. I casted on 48 stiches with needle size 3 mm for my shoe-size (6.5, Germany size: 37). 6 rows garter-stitch. Then stockinette knitting. At the beginning and end of each row knit 6 garter-stitches for the edges and work all 8 rows in the middle of the edges a hole for the shoelaces. 1. Part of the heel goes over all 48 stitches. Reducing the rows per 2 stitches. 2. Part of the heel is about 30 stitches (Don't ask why, it fits best). Begin this part with the 10 stitches in the middle and add one stitch each row. Then continue knitting in rounds until you reach the tip of the foot. Knit it as you normally do. I knitted a ribbon of garter-stitches for the sole in white, that equals the circumference of my foot. The sole is made of white cotton. I sewed sole and ribbon together on the socks. Then work riveting for the shoelaces and pull it through. I hope I could help, and wish you much fun.
