Endless Roving asked:
Thanks for sharing the link to the pattern. Beautiful choice of yarn. Is that one of Berroco's?
jacquelin1265487 answered:
Hi Rovingmistress, the yarn was a very old batch of Britanicas Naturwolle (100% Reine Schrwolle/Pure New Wool), which I bought some decades ago on a trip to Germany. Setting in the sleeves was a perfect solution to the problem of running out just near the end, and they are only length. The wool was indicated for 5-5 mm needles, but I used 7mm to obtain the required gauge. I very highly recommend this useful and beautiful cardigan, and will definitely make another, full length sleeve version, probably one or even two sizes up with a finer softer wool to get some drape (i.e., adjust for a smaller gauge by using a lager size pattern).
