What was your source for this knitting project? I really like the color combination with the solid pink, I almost used black, but am glad I didn't. Maybe next time. What advice would you give someone starting this project? It is a beginner pattern, both the scarf and the hat, casting on, knits and purls, and binding off is the only thing you need to know. My scarf ended up 5" wide by 70" long with a 21 stitch cast on.

go to youtube.com and key in knitting cast off in the search bar, it will com up with a lot of video tutorials for that subject, almost any will work.
