Laptop Case

Project Description

What are you most proud of? The fact that this project cost me nothing, used up leftover yarn (that I originally bought from the thrift store, no less), and it does the job of protecting my laptop quite well. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Knit a gauge first of just rib stitch (2 x purl, 2 x knit) and measure it against your laptop to determine how many stitches you need to cast on. Increase towards the top and add stitches to the flap (something I didn't do) so that it covers the laptop a bit better than my version. Next one I make, I think I'll add two buttons, one on each corner, for even better coverage.

What you will need

  • Yarn
  • size 8US knitting needles
  • a button.
