Lacy socks

What are you most proud of? They fit! I followed all of Donna's advice on measuring my foot and calculating how many stitches I needed and it worked perfectly. I had made quite a few pairs of socks before this course but this is the first time I have got a pair that fit me properly. What advice would you give someone starting this project? If possible try and have an even number of stitches. I had 63 and it was a pain splitting them for the heel flap and the toe decreases. The folded ribbon ribbing pattern is lovely but the repeat of 9 stitches is awkward.

Q&A with Facelikefizz

RebeccaBlakeney asked:
Very pretty! And congratulations on a good fit. I'm considering using this pattern stitch (for Donna's toe-up class). Would you say the folded ribbon is stretchy? Or not so much? Of course I will knit a swatch, but I'm just trying to narrow my choices down first.
Facelikefizz answered:
Thank you! I'd knitted lacy socks in the past that had no give in them at all so was a bit worried how these would turn out. They're surprisingly stretchy though, which makes them very comfortable.
