Lacy Leaf Satchel

Project Description

What was your source for this knitting project? Other What are you most proud of? That the satchel came out PERFECTLY, in my opinion. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Find a yarn that you love the feel of - it will make the project move along quickly because you are not going to want to put the knitting down!

What you will need

  • Berrocco "Love It" (I think they've discontinued this yarn
  • which makes me sad...); Size 8 dpn & straight; 7-mesh plastic canvas; metal handbag feet; wooden purse handles; 2 yds cotton blend material for the lining; large button
  • US 8 / 5.0 mm / UK 6

I am having trouble with the assembly portion of this back. I just don't understand the directions for sewing the pleats. Any words of advice?

The pleats are not as tricky as you might think. You'll need to make sure you've enough stitches across to accomodate the folds/pleats you are making. How many stitches do you have on your needles?
