Huckelberry Hat

Project Description

What was your source for this knitting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Huckelberry Hat by Marly Bird Link to website or photo www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/huckelberry-hat What are you most proud of? I love the use of color and that I actually learned how to do entrelac in the round on this very hat ;-) What advice would you give someone starting this project? Have fun with the colors. Learn to "knit backwards" as it makes it so much easier...that way you are not constantly having to turn your work and Purl on the WS rows.

Q&A with Marly Bird

TheCraftFloozy asked:
Super cute! I've been wanting to learn entrelac but it looks so hard!!!
Marly Bird answered:
It is really easy! There are two really wonderful books out there that I totally recommend. Entre to Entrelac by Gwen Bortner and Entrelac by Rosemary Drysdale :-)
Windyjo asked:

I made a hat very much like this with a free pattern on lion brand . Com. I would add a picture of the hat I made but I don't know how to add pictures to my comment.
Marly Bird answered:
Yes, but my pattern offers a step by step tutorial. Worth the pay IMHO.
