Q&A with maak

carmen millares asked:
do you have a video how to do it? i prefer a video to watch. i don't know how to read a pattern. pls. respond. thank you.
maak answered:
I don't have a video but here's a link to the Holden Shawlette KAL blog entries on Craftsy. You can start with the bottom entry (Aug 5, 2011) and work up. http://blog.craftsy.com/category/knitting/holden-knit-along/ You'll still need to read up on charts though. YouTube has a few videos on reading knitting charts. I hope you find the info that you need.
Rlm72144893 asked:
How much yarn does this project use? I have approximately 400 yards of Andulsia yummy yarn and would like to make a shawl.
maak answered:
The shawl's designer says 430 - 450 yards. I had a bit left using a 435 yard hank but I'm a rather tight knitter. Just my opinion but I go for more than 400 yarns to be on the safe side.
duarteshlelia asked:
It's just beautiful.
maak answered:
Thank you so much! It was the first shawl I ever made! A very satisfying knit!
cathy.jan3250095 asked:
Where do I go to obtain the pattern for the Holden Shawlette? It's absolutely brilliant!
maak answered:
Here is the designer's Craftsy Project: http://www.craftsy.com/project/view/holden-shawlette/2734?_ct=iuqhsx-kdyluhiqb-huikbj-fhezusj&_ctp=2734 But there's no working link there! Here's the link on Ravelry: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/holden-2
