Detailed instructions give a comfortable fit around the neck (i.e. the back neckline is raised above the front neckline so that the turtleneck does not feel to high in the front or 'strangle' the wearer). Also, the front flap is longer than the back flap to allow enough coverage in the front when worn with an open-collared shirt or v-neck sweatshirt. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Pattern includes instructions for 2 sizes - up to 15" neck, [to 18"]. 250 yards sportweight yarn, approx 2 oz, 5 stitches/inch, size US 6 / 4.0 mm needles suggested. Written stitch instructions.
