Gwen's Reversible Texture Scarf

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I took a lot of time to explore other reversible design options for the upper tiers, but ultimately decided to go with Gwen's original design. You can't see that in the final project of course, but because of that extra exploration I'm certain that I'm going to be happy with it for a long time. What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you're interested, it's worth the time to learn to knit and purl in both directions, and how to balance your tension as you do that.

What you will need

  • Noro Eisaku Retro Yarn (wool
  • silk
  • angora) I wanted to use cotton
  • but it's very difficult to get a worsted weight cotton other than a tape where I live in Japan
  • even in the summer.
  • US 4 / 3.5 mm

Thank you, Gwen!
Sharelise asked:
Great texture. Very pretty. Gorgeous color. Do I see knit rows in one direction and seed stitch rows in the other?
Teresa Bolen answered:
Thank you, Sharelise. I did this one exactly to Gwen's pattern with the course. I love that it's reversible - it makes it very easy to wear. I'm planning to do another in Noro Silk Garden with some different reversible motifs.
