Project

Grey Maren

Project Description

What are you most proud of? This is my first color work project and it's a lot less difficult than I think. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I think Lopi is the ideal yarn for this project.

What you will need

  • Lett-Lopi 0054 - Ash Heather; 1410 - Orange; 0058 - Dark Grey Heather

Q&A with tylchick

Buzzaknits asked:
Love your colours, I think I will steal them for my next Maren. Your crochet edge is perfectly flat, do you have any secrets to offer the rest of us. What size of hook did you use and did you chrochet into every stitch.
tylchick answered:
Feel free to use the colors Buzzaknits. Actually they are the suggested colors of version 2 of this project. After I crocheted the right side edge for the first time with 3mm crochet hook as suggested in the pattern, it's not flat and ruffled. I frogged it and crocheted it again. Like the first time, I crocheted into every stitch with 3mm crochet hook but tighter and the result was much better. It's flat but not completely straight. I am really pleased with the result of the other edge (probably due to more practices). It's completely flat and straight. Hope it's helpful to you and good luck to your knitting ;)
