Gray Simplicity Triangle Shawl

Project Description

What was your source for this knitting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Simplicity Triangle Shawl Link to website or photo www.craftsy.com/pattern/knitting/accessory/simplicity-triangle-shawl/128525 What are you most proud of? It's simple, yet elegant; easy to knit, easy to wear, I'm happy to share it with my fellow knitters:) What advice would you give someone starting this project? It's is a nice pattern for those who have little or no experience with triangular shawls. When you start the lace part make sure you follow the lace chart carefully, especially around the spine (the center) of the shawl - when you complete the first row, the rest will follow naturally. By the second repeat you will probably be able to knit without looking into the chart:)This pattern can be easily modified to change the size of the shawl.Plus, this is a good pattern for heavier, warmer yarns - this shawl can be a great substitute for a winter scarf.

What you will need

  • US 6 / 4.0 mm / UK 8
  • yarn: blend of mohair and acrylic
  • lace
  • 2ply
  • about 800 yards

I emailed you a question about the chart, I do apologize in advance for being a little annoying LOL. I'm having a hard time making the connection from the written pattern to the chart. I'm hoping to make it as a Mother's day present sooooooo needless to say, I NEED TO START SOON HAHAHAHA
Amadeit answered:
Check your email:) And you're by no means annoying! On contrary, every comment, doubt or request for clarification always make me pay more attention to what I write. So bother me, ask questions, point to my weaknesses - I find it all very valuable and I appreciate it a lot!

I love this triangular shawl and can't wait to make it. The free pattern as shown on Craftsy, seems to not directions and chart pattern. Where can I find the complete pattern? carol@carolholmes.com Thanks! All your pieces are GORGEOUS!
Amadeit answered:
Thank you! The pattern here is complete - there are directions on how to knit the body and there is a chart for the lace part.
