Q&A with Keenie28

Cara Michelle asked:
You look so pretty and the sweater is beautiful.
Keenie28 answered:
Thank you! I'm so impressed with all the knitting YOU are doing--you are on FIRE, and the sweaters look great. I love the shaping you're adding to the pattern, making it truly your own. :)
Zenacrafts asked:
Great colour. Sweater looks great on you. I only just started but my ribbing on the back seems quite tight and I'm worried that I am making mine too small but I did use the bust size although I am small in that area. Any advice?
Keenie28 answered:
Hi. You didn't mention if you knit a gauge swatch, so I would check to make sure you are knitting in the correct gauge in your stockinette stitch. I wouldn't worry about the ribbing being "tight" as it will certainly stretch when you wear it, but--again--it's so important that you are knitting to gauge. Also, since you're worried about the size sweater you are knitting, make sure to take a look at the schematic drawings that show the finished inches for each size. You can even use a tape measure and wrap it around yourself to the measurements stated for your size and get an idea of how the sweater will "fit" you. If you already have a similar sweater that fits you well, check the measurements on that one and compare to the size you've chosen for this sweater. Good luck to you! :)
blueheartsilvertears asked:
It came very nice the fit is great on you, what size did you knit up ?
Keenie28 answered:
Thank you! The sweater is knit in 1X.
Christina E. asked:
How long did it take you to make? I'm just starting mine, I'm so excited. I haven't done a project this big, and my arms are sore!
Keenie28 answered:
I'm so sorry, I'm just seeing your question more than a year after you wrote it! I'm guessing you've knitted your own sweater by now? I remember I felt like I had a lot of time in which to work on this project, but after checking on Ravelry I can see it took me two months to complete. :)
lturnbaugh asked:
The sweater looks awesome. As I was working on mine, I kept referring to your picture! I bought the same color yarn and then wasn't sure. Now, I'm going to make another for a gift and use the same color of yarn. Your picture really is fabulous!
Keenie28 answered:
Hi! I'm sorry I didn't respond earlier--I'm just now seeing some of the comments on my project over a year after they were posted! THANK YOU for your very nice words. I hope you were just as please with your own sweaters! :)
