Project

Easy 2-row knitted lace

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I think it will be my go-to lace edging - it's quick to knit and I like to use this style of lace often. I also really like the ruffly edge - it was unexpected, but very pretty. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Any beginner who can cast on, cast off, knit and purl can learn this - the new skills are knit 2 together and yarn over, which are easy if someone shows you. Or watch a video - I suggest these ones: (This site also has videos for the continental method if that's your style). What you will need

  • cotton yarn
  • knitting needles
  • ribbon to fit eyelets. I used: Wendy Supreme Cotton DK and 3mm needles
  • and the edging is about 3cm wide. I will add details once I try some larger yarns. You could make it smaller with crochet cottons and smaller needles
  • obviously
  • but I'm not a masochist.
