What are you most proud of? The Kitchener stitch on the toes seemed to come out OK after I ripped out my first attempts. I finally got it looking pretty decent. I learned a lot and enjoyed the course immensely, and love my soft socks despite their problems. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make the cuff small enough to be snug. Next time I'd make a longer cuff to roll over. Don't bother with using a pattern stitch in self-striping yarn. I didn't realize this was a self-striping yarn, I thought it was bits of color here and there like some of the smaller sections between stripes. I wouldn't have used a pattern if I had known the yarn would stripe, and the design would disappear. This lacy design with this soft yarn really stretches too much, a different yarn would be a better choice with this design. I've learned I don't like the holes in my socks from the lacy pattern, so I stopped doing it after finishing with the gusset stitches, it was supposed to go all the way to the toes. I should have done a swatch in the pattern stitch, next time I'll make sure to do one. I would have seen the striping and the loose holes with this yarn.
