Commuter Knapsack

Project Description

What was your source for this knitting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Commuter Knapsack by Deborah Newton Link to website or photo www.interweavestore.com/Knitting/Books/Knitting-Green.html What are you most proud of? That it came out so beautiful. What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you are making this for someone larger than a size 8 or so, lengthen your straps. I was unable to wear the knapsack as the straps were pretty short for me. They fit my niece perfectly. Also, the flap in the photo does not look anywhere near as big as it turns out. In my photo I have folded over several inches on each side so your can see the work on the knapsack.

What you will need

  • 8 skeins of Nashua Hand Knit Cotton in color CFCT017 - Light Blue
  • one button.

Q&A with buzzknit

KnittyMom asked:
does it have a cloth lining??? This back is BEAUTIFUL!!!!
buzzknit answered:
Thanks so much - no lining - you would need a bag or pouch for small items, my niece uses it for books - I thought of lining it with cloth but decided not to,
jlcest2000 asked:
I have Knitting Green and have been eyeing up this project for a while! It's inspiring to see it done. Nice job!
buzzknit answered:
Thanks - it was fun, but make sure you check interweave for errata as I found a mistake, small one, but you will want to have the fix.
