Clarus

What are you most proud of? With both of my shawls knit for this course I kind of broke the rules regarding yarn choice. Neither choice should have worked with the pattern, but somehow both turned out really nice. I think this pattern is actually really great for variegated yarn; the fan-shape of the repeated motif breaks up pooling nicely, and the motif isn't so involved that the color detracts from it. I was very pleasantly surprised. What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is a really great beginners lace project. I found it slightly dull, but since it was easy to memorize I had no problem knitting it and multi-tasking. Also, I used significantly less yarn than the pattern predicted, so I probably could have gotten away with another repeat or so.
