Q&A with Caroline Hem

Maria.Tut210434 asked:
When I saw this project, first I cried...then I saved this to do when my knitting skills are up to par. I was looking for a throw/afghan to create...and this one shares the same name as my dear best friend, who went home to be with the Lord in July of 2007. I cannot wait to complete this project to have "Charis" always with me.
Caroline Hem answered:
If you have some basic knitting skills I would really recommend the class as Laura takes you through the project stitch by stitch and is great at giving help and support. I love the idea of making it in memory of your friend - I hope you get to knit it sometime soon.

Charis, you just inspired me, to get started on my shawl. I've been enrolled in this class for months, putting all project/people first. Love Love Love your shawl. What yarn did you use?
Caroline Hem answered:
It was some Jaegar yarn that I bought from ebay - it is a 4ply yarn with some wool in it to help with blocking. I hope you enjoy your shawl and I look forward to seeing it.
