Changing Light Scarf

I saw this ad in my Facebook news feed so I finally clicked on it. I thought it was so pretty! I had to give it a try. It was intimidating, but once I got started, I realized it wasn't difficult at all. Fun pattern, beautiful yarn! I still have to block it. I will add more pictures once it is blocked. I just couldn't wait to share it. :)

Q&A with ThisDancerKnits

bridge10dr asked:
I was wondering what colors you used for this. I doesn't look like we can choose from all the available colors for the kit.
ThisDancerKnits answered:
Hi! It's possible they're selling out of the yarn for the kits. I used Sky Blue for the light color, Dolphin Blue for the medium color, and Ocean for the dark color
bridge10dr asked:
Thank you. It is beautiful. Did you find it difficult? i am a fairly new knitter but just take my time ... a stich at a time.
ThisDancerKnits answered:
You're welcome! I was intimidated by this pattern because just looking at it; it appears challenging. Once I figured out the disappearing loop cast on, it really wasn't difficult at all. If you have done lace before, then the stitch pattern shouldn't give you much trouble at all. I also used 2 circular needles for the first time. I'm not a fan of Magic Loop method and I don't think double points will close the hole in the middle tightly enough. I finished this project a lot sooner than I'd expected to. I'd say just go for it! 😉
bridge10dr asked:
Sounds good. How long are the circular needles or is all that in the instructions? I have not used 2 circulars or done lace before. Did you find the video tips helpful? I am excited. I will finish my first pair of socks first. I am knitting them on the 9 inch circular needles. Thanks for all your help. Much appreciated.
ThisDancerKnits answered:
I think the intructions say to use 24" or longer circulars. I think I used 32". If you're a beginner, the video tips will help. Unfortunately, they don't have tips for the cast on and I really struggled with it. The illustrations on the last page of the pattern ended up being most helpful to me. If all else fails, use YouTube! 😊 Just have fun with it!
bluseycat17125502 asked:
Is the pattern for this scarf available for purchase without buying the kit? Thank you.
ThisDancerKnits answered:
I don’t know. I bought the kit on Craftsy. The pattern might be available by itself on Ravelry.
