Project

Belle Plume Cardi

Project Description

What are you most proud of? It fits! What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you need to lengthen the body, don't be afraid to keep changing needles as you grow. I went from 3.25 to 4.5 mm needles, changing every 2 inches. This feather & fan lace pattern is very forgiving.

Q&A with theneedlegnome

sewhappyjp asked:
Lovely. Almost like my choice of yarn.
theneedlegnome answered:
Thanks! Reminds me of peacock feathers.
paulalp asked:
Your cardigan looks really great. I like your stripes. Is this a self striping yarn or did you use color changes of your own design? It is beautiful.
theneedlegnome answered:
Thank you! The yarn is self-striping, DK-weight with very long colour runs.
Jazzee asked:
I have been thinking of using a self-striping yarn and this confirms that it will look great. So my Noro yarn comes out tomorrow! BTW I love your button band detail.
theneedlegnome answered:
Thank you! NORO is a perfect choice for this cardi. Can't wait to see it!
knitter4years asked:
Did you make that for yourself or is it a sample in a store? It looks fantastic. The colors are really lovely and go so well on the lace section with the waves it has. Really nice result.
theneedlegnome answered:
It was made for me, but is on display in my store when I'm not wearing it. Thank you for your lovely comments.
