Beaniemania

What was your source for this knitting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Beaniemania Link to website or photo http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/beaniemania What are you most proud of? The beanie (10-18mo size) fit adorably on my 14.5 month old granddaughter, and she will leave it on (whereas my other 14 month old granddaughter rips it off immediately). There is still stretchiness, so it will fit for awhile. What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you are new to knitting in the round, try to purchase a circular needle shorter than 16 inches if possible. I have seen them in knit shops and online. You can also try to use double-pointed needles, but I find those to be frustrating trying to keep track of the stitches on each end so they don't fall off. I've learned how to use the magic loop method from online videos and it also comes in handy for the first two rounds. After that, the beanie will stretch around a 16-inch needle fine.

You Can Make This

Woohoopepper made Beaniemania with:

  • Worsted Weight (stash) yarn
  • US Size 4 16-inch circular needle (or smaller length needle)
  • US Size 4 double-pointed needles (optional if using magic loop technique for crown).
