Baby Surprise Jacket

What was your source for this knitting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Elizabeth Zimmermann's Adult, Baby, Child's Surprise Jacket Link to website or photo www.schoolhousepress.com/patterns.htm What are you most proud of? That I actually figured it out. It was fun when I finally had my ah ha moment and "got" how it was going to come together! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't be afraid of this pattern. If I can do it so can you. Take your time and make sure you are careful to increase and decrease at the proper place. Also, I found that blocking it was a must.

Q&A with Quiltedwings

elane asked:
I just made a Baby surprise out of sock yarn. It is so very small but Mason will be delivered early due to complications, I didn't make the stripes but will with the next one. Great job with yours!
Quiltedwings answered:
Oh Elane, I hope all goes well with Mason's early arrival for both Mom and Baby! I can't imagine how tiny your jacket turned out using sock yarn it must be the cutest thing ever!
SGK asked:
Just Darling! Love your colors and of course the buttons are the best!! Great Job!!!!Never attempted anything of Elizabeth Zimmerman. Always alittle bit intimidated?! Sue
Quiltedwings answered:
Thanks Sue. I love those acorn buttons. I had them in my stash but I only had 2! There was much discussion and debate with my husband and kids about if I should use them and how. I knew they were going on the sweater just not how I was going to pull it off. :-)
The big B asked:
I'm debating weather to make this one of my to do projects! I was inspired by your beautiful sweater and think I'll give it a whirl.
Quiltedwings answered:
Oh do give it a whirl. I think you'll be glad if you do! I'm going to make one in an adult size next.
