What are you most proud of? This is my first finished (I'm really proud to underline "finished") knitting project! Stefanie I want to thank you so much!!! This is also my first experience with circular needles! What advice would you give someone starting this project? For the scarf: just cast on 24 stitches and go on knitting one row, purling the other. I always purl the first and the last stitch of the knitted row in order to have a neat selvedge. Go on this way for 125 cm (49 inch) and then cast off. For the hat: cast on 49 stitches on a circular needle, put one stitch from the right needle to the left needle and knit two togheter (this way I closed the circle, you must have now 48 stitches on the circular needle). Use a stitch marker to know when the row ends. Go on knitting one row, purling the other for about 25 cm (10 inch). Cut the yarn leaving a tail about 50 cm (19 inch) long and with a sewing needle pass the tail in all the 48 stitches. Pull tightly and sew some stitches to close the hat: done! Now I really want want to learn how to decrease in order to have gorgeous crown for my hats: my next class will be "Hats Four Ways", I want to learn everything about this tecnique!
