Q&A with meganmc

CCaarrooll asked:
I have learned to knit two different ways. I have my favorite, but it is useful to know another way. It might be worth your time to practice another technique.
meganmc answered:
Which other technique are you referring to? I"m always open to new skills.
CCaarrooll asked:
I learned to knit in the English style, but prefer the continental style. However, I go back to the English style for some things. For example, I couldn't figure out how to knit backwards (taught in the Craftsy Entrelac class) until I went back to the English style. In The Principles of Knitting by June Hemmons Hiatt, she describes a lot of different knitting styles--I had no idea there was such variety.
meganmc answered:
I'm a continental/German/Russian (whatever you want to call it) knitter. A "picker" by whatever name. My struggle is trying to "throw" so I can do two-color knitting with one color for each hand. But that is a different issue and not applicable to brioche. I'm so very happy to finally "get it" and I'm enjoying this scarf tremendously and eyeing other projects.
Athena.K. asked:
love the colors and from the foto I guess this is a very soft fluffy yarn...nice!!!
meganmc answered:
Soft and fluffy, yes. Finished the scarf last week, so of course it is very warm right now and I can't wear it.
