Project Description

What are you most proud of? The size of the shawl and the perfection of the stitches. It's the largest shawl I've made to date and it's really lovely. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Watch the class and then watch it again. Don't skimp on the swatch! It's much easier to get the hang of putting the beads on the yarn overs and figuring out nupps on a small swatch than on the main body of the shawl. Because you are starting out with more stitches and then decreasing, it's heartbreaking to have to rip the shawl out at the beginning stage. Swatch swatch swatch! And have fun. This shawl is gorgeous when finished and a definite attention grabber.
