11 1/2in Doll Cardigan

Project Description

Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo PDF Knitting Pattern for 11 1/2in Doll Cardigan Link to website or photo www.craftsy.com/pattern/knitting/Toy/Horseshoe-Cable-Cardigan-For-Barbie/2426 What are you most proud of? My goal is to make these as close to the original as I can, just miniature. They take me about 12 to 18 hours from start to finish. I have more in different patterns, I just haven't written them up yet. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Please keep in mind that this is very tiny knitting.

Lovely. Over40 years ago, I made a Barbie dress and sweater for a 4-H project. It was my first project on double pointed needles. I have always been proud of it. I later knit a coat for Barbie in mohair and it looked like fur.
TTB answered:
Sounds wonderful.

Great looking pattern. I have an old vintage knitting for Barbie book and have done all of the patterns. That was over 40 years ago. My little sister had the best dressed Barbie ever.
TTB answered:
Wow you're making me feel old LOL
Kathleen Parker asked:
Years ago my mother knit a coat, sweater and I think a skirt for my 11.5in doll. I didn't have a real Barbie doll but a less expensive one. I think my mom had fun knitting those little clothes. I learned to sew making Barbie clothes on an old treadle sewing machine. Those were the good old days.
TTB answered:
*Big Smile* Yes they were.
