We are all familiar with knitting blocks and putting them together to make shawls, stoles, bags etc. I wanted to try something different--using block patterns to make a triangular lace shawl. A pretty triangular shawl, the Wild Blocks Shawl can be knit as a smaller one skein shawl which would end after a few rows after the first border or a larger two skeins shawl which would end after a few rows after the second border. The shawl is worked top down and is made up of two triangles with the chart showing only one of these. Repeat chart for other triangle. Chart does not show the left and right border and center 2 garter sts. For the body of the shawl there are both written instructions and a chart while for the two borders there are only written instructions. The love that I have for knitting and the pure joy that it brings me has been passed down to me from both my mother and my grandmother. Decades later, my passion for knitting has only deepened. I know that knitting will always be an intrinsic part of my life, and I am excited to conjure up new ideas, designs and projects. Besides knitting I love crocheting, cross-stitching, sewing, cooking, listening to music, watching movies, etc, etc, etc.--I wish a day was longer sometimes! I find indulging in creative pursuits is very therapeutic and relaxing much like yoga.
