Using just one ball of this lovely cotton/modal blend yarn, knit up a lightweight, lacy accent scarf that measures approximately 2" wide x 54" in circumference. The gauge is about 5 stitches per inch, but the scarf will stretch a great deal after it is bound off. A skinny scarf is perfect for the warmer weather or too-cool air conditioning when you need just a little something around your neck. It also functions as a fashion necklace. The moebius is very fun to knit and makes an excellent quick gift as well. Once you learn the moebius cast on, you will want to make several of them. Wear it many ways. Any dk weight yarn will work with this design. Experiment with other cotton blend, linens and even hemp for a warm weather accent scarf. Here is the link to Cat Bordhi's U-Tube Moebius cast on video. Hi! I'm Diane L. Augustin and I am Yarn Happy - Bead Happy I teach knitting, crocheting and Tunisian crochet classes at several yarn shops and art centers in the Minneapolis/St. Paul/St. Croix Valley area. One of my passions is knitting and crocheting with beads. I also manage the daily activities and teach classes at ThunderWillow Community Arts in Hudson, WI. I have classes at Ramsay County and Hudson libraries, as well as through Hudson Community Education. I often conduct workshops and demonstrations at special events and festivals in the area. I have been teaching professionally for seven years. My background as a graphic artist in the publishing industry facilitates my ability to design, write, produce and publish my patterns. I am also the photographer. I continuously develop new designs, offering them as classes, with a focus on teaching techniques. I learned to knit continental or combination style at seven years old from my grandmother, who had to teach me in order to get her own knitting back from me! I live in western WI, just outside of Hudson, with my husband, Lance and the boss of the household, Thomas Edison, our stray kitty who came to stay. I am Yarn Happy Bead Happy! I hope my designs will become your favorites. I am Yarn Happy Bead Happy! My pattern was published in the newly released book, [North Shore Knits][2], produced by [Three Irish Girls][3].
