(c) Andrea Pagano (c) Andrea Pagano Venezian Handspun Cowl by Andrea Pagano Published in Ping! Andrea Pagano's Ravelry Store Craft Knitting Category Neck / Torso ' Cowl Published April 2013 Yarns suggested 7 wpi handspun Yarn weight Bulky / 12 ply (7 wpi) [Information on yarn weights] Gauge 6.5 stitches and 18 rows = 4 inches Needle size 7.5 mm Yardage 200 - 250 yards (183 - 229 m) Sizes available One size fits all adult bottom-up child in-the-round mosaic one-piece ribbed seamless teen top-down unisex written-pattern This pattern is available as a free Ravelry download This is a cowl specifically designed to display your beautiful handspun. I used two yarns of approximate weight and I knit corrugated rib to achieve vertical lines. One skein has beautiful color gradations will the other is plain. The colors immediately reminded me of a Venezian carnival, and the beautiful masks and costumes you can see on it. I didn(tm)t know when I started that I would love it so much. At this size and on big needles, it takes only an afternoon (or morning!) to finish Make it your own by changing the colors and size. GAUGE 6.5 st and 18 rows = 4 in SUGGESTED YARN 200 yards of Chunky weight

I am a long time knitter and crocheter, as well as a very recent knitwear designer. My aesthetic is rather urban - I live in one of the world's largest cities and that influences me to some extent. I like color a lot and I want my pieces to be interesting to make. I try to offer that in my patterns. I am also a ceramist and I occasionaly dabble onto some ostensibly silly painting (quite unfrequently though, no need to panic)
