Designed to accompany the Vanilla Bean Cloche pattern, the Vanilla Bean socks look intricate, but are actually incredibly simple to knit. Knit creatively from the toe up and shaped by simple short rows, they provide a fun alternative to the "normal" baby shower gift. The lace pattern is shaped only by knit-two-togethers and yarn overs, and is finished with a pretty scalloped edging. Knit in a breathable cotton, these vintage-style lace socks are not only incredibly soft, but also have the perfect amount of stretch to them providing comfort and cushion to growing little feet. Pattern includes helpful photos and instructions including notes on all the techniques described. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY knit and purl yarnovers knit-two-together middle eastern cast-on short rows GAUGE 6.5 stitches/ 9 rows= 1 inch on stockinette stitch SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Newborn-3 months, 6-9 months, 12-18 months, 2T-5T

Despite telling my mom years ago that I would never become a knitter, I took up a pair of needles in 2009 and haven’t put them down since! Knitting is an outlet for my creative energy and my desire to always be making things with my hands. My goal as a designer is to create unique knitting patterns; inspired by the beautiful, wild and rugged landscape of the Pacific Northwest--a place I loves to explore and am privileged to call home. I strives to write patterns that are easy to follow and simply enjoyable both to knit and to wear. Keeping busy by day as a wife, mother of three and homemaker, I love to spend my evenings curled up on the couch with a cup of coffee, knitting, planning and sketching my never-ending design ideas. :) If you have an questions about any of my patterns, would like to become a test knitter or to set up a trunk show, please feel free to contact me! I’d love to help!
