Urban Decay? sounds pretty bad...but it's not. To me the moss stitch border looked like foundation stones from an old building, and the way that the fine yarn sections cause the heavy cable sections to collapse made me think of buildings falling into ruins. But in the case of this cowl the collapse causes cosy, warm layers. The firmness of the cabled aran ameliorated by the gossamer fine but strong mohair. This cowl is a quick easy knit which will be a funky addition to your winter wardrobe. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY knit purl cast on and off (bind off) work in the round cable GAUGE 14 sts x 18 rows over stocking stitch (stockinette) using larger needles SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Adult - 38 cm / 15" long by 58 cm / 23" in circumference (approximate - see tips) SUGGESTED YARN 142 yards of Chunky weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Filatura di Crosa Charly

I love designing knitwear for babies and older kids too, I'm inspired by the world around me, whether it's the green bush covered hills where I live, or the bright city lights and sparkling harbor. I try to find a way to incorporate traditional, modern and whimsical elements into every garment I design. Children need to be comfortable and relaxed in their clothing, they need the opportunity to jump and run and paint without restriction. I try to design with these qualities in mind.
