I'll always love this pattern because it was the first pattern I ever created on my own. I designed it for a dear friend's baby girl who is now almost 2 years old. I've never been a big fan of all the traditional pastel baby blanket colors, so I wanted to create something functional, but sophisticated. This isn't a quick project (nothing with size 3.5 needles ever is), but you can adjust the gauge and use larger needles and thicker yarn to make it faster. Happy Knitting! I first tried to knit when I was a kid, but I didn't have the patience to follow my Mom's instructions and quickly gave it up. When I lived in New York, I stumbled upon some knitting cafes and became one of those people that knits on the subway. I am a perfectionist and would rather tear out the whole project than finish it with a mistake. My daytime job involves online marketing, AB testing, statistics and data analysis. When I am not working or knitting, I can often be found reading, skiing, biking, baking or watching football (go Broncos!).
