I designed this scarf because I wanted a truly reversible pattern that would be a great accessory. This scarf is identical on both sides, and if the cast on and cast off instructions are followed, the edges are also almost identical. The stitch pattern gives an interesting woven effect. I used self-striping yarn for this pattern, but it is also a great project for random amounts of different colors. Just start with a new color when you desire. I wanted the stripes on the scarf to run lengthwise, so this scarf is knitted from side to side. The stitch pattern is one row. The instructions consist of two set-up rows and one pattern row that is then repeated until the bind-off row. Note that as this is a digital download, no refund are given, please ask any questions before purchase. I've been doing all sorts of crafts for most of my life. I love the pattern and structure of mathematics and how mathematics is interwoven with design and nature. I am inspired by color. I think one of the reasons that I've always enjoyed art and design is that I enjoy thinking analytically and transferring that into an artistic interpretation. I enjoy taking what I know and creating my own interpretation. I hope you enjoy knitting my patterns as much as I have enjoyed designing them. My goal is to provide a clear and well-written pattern that includes all of the information that you need to get a great result. The project might be challenging but that should not include trying to figure out the pattern! You may always email me at
