PATTERN DETAILS

This elegant collar will keep your neck warm and cozy on even the windiest days. Worked sideways with short rows, it flares out over your shoulders to avoid gaps between the collar and your shirt. The slip-stitch pattern creates a woven texture, an asymmetrically slanted opening, and has the added bonus of making short rows easy - no wraps needed! GAUGE 4" = 26 sts and 32 rows in Crossed Stitch Note: yarn shown usually knits at 21-23 sts to 4" in Stocking Stitch. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Neck Circumference: 13.25"(14.25", 15.25"), not including 1" overlap. Lower Circumference: 23"(24.75", 26.5"), not including 1" overlap. Length: 5.5"

Recommended with this pattern

  • 140(150, 165) yards DK weight yarn
  • US 6 (4mm) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge

Kira K Designs
Kira K Designs is a line of original knitting and crochet patterns with a streamlined and eminently wearable aesthetic. Research on historical clothing, which Kira did during her former career as a theatrical costume designer, is a strong influence on her design sense, and many patterns reference styles from the 1920s through the 1960s. Kira's family history of Danish Modern furniture design is also an important influence on her patterns, resulting in garments and accessories with clean lines and intriguing details that are both interesting to make and easy to wear.
