PATTERN DETAILS

I had fun pulling the elements of this sweater together. The hem is literally twisted Stockinette stitch - such a pretty look with very little effort! The simple cable pattern, which creates a wonderful fabric, is worked again in the sleeves, over a background of garter stitch and openwork. And the neckline is simply the first few rows of the sleeve pattern. What could be easier?! Wear this piece with a skirt or over jeans - it'll be one of your favorites! The yarn I used works up at a gauge of 5 sts per inch in Stockinette stitch; if you wish to use a different yarn, make sure you find one that will match this gauge. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY knit, purl, increase, decrease, pick up stitches, cabling SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS XXS (29.5") to 6X (68")

At 6' tall, I used to have a hard time finding sweaters with long enough sleeves. So I took up knitting to make my own sweaters.
