PATTERN DETAILS

Generally, when naming a pattern, I look for inspiration in the pattern. This time, I found inspiration in the yarn. The colorway, Arco Iris, knit up in garter stitch provoked in me, the same feel as an Impressionist painting. This project in particular reminded me of a Monet called The Rose-way in Gverny. The scarfy/shawlette is knit on the bias and has a lace edging that forms a scalloped edge. It also contains instructions to make a wide/wider version and a longer/skinnier version. Each size uses less than 1 skein. Knit up in the sport weight, Arroyo, this pattern flies off the needles quite literally. Sizes Shorter and wider(long and skinny) Finished Measurements tip to tip: 62.5 (78) inches depth at widest point: 19.5 /(13) inches Gauge 20sts and 24 rows per 4 inches Materials Malabrigo Arroyo [100% Merino Wool; 335 yards per 100grams] Both sizes use just under 1 skein. colorway used: Arco Iris Needles 1 32-inch US6/4mm circular needle Notions darning needle scrap yarn tools for blocking BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY garter, increase, decrease, lace GAUGE 20sts and 24 rows per 4 inches SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Shorter and wider(long and skinny) tip to tip: 62.5 (78) inches depth at widest point: 19.5 /(13) inches SUGGESTED YARN 330 yards of Sport weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Malabrigo Arroyo COLORWAY Arco Iris

I love knitting. Through my love(some would say obsession), I have discovered the world of knitting design. I have always been drawn to different aspects of design, whether it be graphic design, home design, or fashion design. I am an artist at heart and I find myself most satisfied in the realm of knitting.
