I call this knit a thumb cable because I use my thumb as the cable needle when making the cabling design. This is a quick pattern, knit with 100 yards of super bulky yarn in the round on circular or double pointed needles. I would consider this an intermediate pattern, altho none of the stitches are difficult, you just need to know knits and purls, simple increasing and decreasing. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY knitting in the round increasing decreasing cables GAUGE 9 stitches and 12 rows = 4 inches in stockinette SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS average adult 20 - 22 inch head

Supplies Needed

  • US size 13 circular needles and/or dpn's
