The Tea Leaf shawl is worked from the top (shortest row) out and down to the longest row. On the final right side rows several yarn overs are added across the length at the tip of each leaf. Without matching decreases these yarn overs cause the edge of the shawl to scallop delicately once blocked. The stitch pattern through the shawl is based on a leaf motif. As the shawl grows the leaves grow longer as well. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Basic lace stitches GAUGE Pattern For Gauge Cast on 21 sts Row 1: K5, [yo, sk2p, yo, k5] twice.
