This is a top down, swingy cardigan, designed to fit people of all body shapes and sizes. Once you get going, it's very easy and good in front of a television or during interventions, like when your 5 year old is putting Daddy's underwear in the freezer (this happened last Thanksgiving, I swear.) Yarn Requirements - Aran or Chunky weight to get gauge of: 4 stitches/inch on US size 9 (UK 5.5mm) needles. See sizing explanation below. XS,S,M: 850 yards L,XL,XXL,XXXL 1350 yards There is the smaller size which fits people who wear up to a US size 12 shirt (UK Size 16) and a larger size which you will customize with your increases as you go along (all very carefully explained.) to fit your particular body type. Suggested Yarns Cascade Eco Wool (has a lot of yardage on it) Valley Yarns Northampton Bulky (great price point) Madelinetosh Chunky (which is what I used) In UK/Ireland Debbie Bliss Rialto Aran Rico Organic Chunky Gauge 4 sts/6 rows to the inch on size 9 (5.5mm) needles. Note - this pattern is not good with heavily variegated yarns as the moss stitch pattern is lost. Thanks for looking - give it a try - it's fun! BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Knitting, Purling, increasing. GAUGE 4 st/6 rows/inch on US 9/ 5.5mm needles. SUGGESTED YARN 850 yards of Chunky weight

Recommended with this pattern

  • Size 9 circular needle, 24 or 32",850 (SML) or 1350, L,XL, XXL yards of chunky yarn
  • tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

I love bright, clear colors against neutral backgrounds and tend to design with these palettes in mind. I love when people take my designs, alter an edge or choose some other colors. I'm one of those people who thinks we're all creative in some way, whether we're knitting, designing, gardening or playing a sport. It just all comes out in different ways!
