PATTERN DETAILS

A classic, fairytale-inspired, hooded poncho, to delight little girls. Knit flat in one piece with bramble stitch borders, it features a stockinette stitch body, armholes and cuffs to keep out the chill, and an optional pocket on the front to warm little hands. The simple lines and small details are designed to showcase handpainted yarns, making this an enjoyable and gratifying garment to knit and be treasured for years to come. Sweet Hilda is dedicated to my grandmother, who taught me to knit at the age of four, and who opened up the large world of fiber arts to me. I was 4 when my grandmother taught me to knit. I have since enjoyed all sorts of needle work; crochet, cross stitch, needlepoint, quilting. However, my love is knitting and designing seamless and classic garments for children :)
