Looking for a flower that is easy to knit and adds a lot of colour to any garment you are making? This flower is a splash of colour! The technique is easy and flower is knit in one strip. You do not have to make each individual petal! An awesome way to use up some of that extra yarn lying around. This pattern was designed for cotton yarn. It works best with cotton as cotton is a stiffer yarn. However, can be made with other yarn you have lying around! This flower would look awesome on any child's hat or headband! Could be used on a purse or bag as well! My name is Lara and I love to knit! I have been knitting for 13 years. My oldest son is almost 13! Before he was born, I picked up the needles and taught myself to knit! I started with a scarf, jumped to a jacket and hat for my newborn and then to a baptism gown! I have knit many, many sweaters, hats, mitts, socks over the last 10 years! Everytime I pick up needles, I have something else in my mind I want to try! I have an electronic systems engineering degree, but have chosen to stay home with my children at this moment. I love working with numbers, so writing up patterns is a great challenge for me! I have 6 wonderful children, so have many opportunities to knit for them! I have also learned some crocheting as I find it adds to my knit projects! I hope you enjoy these patterns as much as I do!
