This is the first of my mittens in my ebook "Counting Fingerless, Mittens in 1,2,3,4 colors". Smocking which is usually done with many colors makes a fabric colorful but here I have attempted to make it just with one! Ribbing in the back of each mitten makes this pair fit most hands. Worked in just a simple smocked pattern, broader at the bottom and narrower at the top, these mittens knit up fast. The love that I have for knitting and the pure joy that it brings me has been passed down to me from both my mother and my grandmother. Decades later, my passion for knitting has only deepened. I know that knitting will always be an intrinsic part of my life, and I am excited to conjure up new ideas, designs and projects. Besides knitting I love crocheting, cross-stitching, sewing, cooking, listening to music, watching movies, etc, etc, etc.--I wish a day was longer sometimes! I find indulging in creative pursuits is very therapeutic and relaxing much like yoga.
