Easy knitting pattern for a slip stitch knit cowl. I designed this cowl beacuse I wanted something that fit close to the neck to keep you warm. I also used the Homespun yarn by Lion because it is a yarn I really like and it is so soft and warm. This cowl would be an advanced beginner knitting project. It knits up quickly on size US 11 circular needles and can easily be made in a day or two. It is also a 1 skein project that is knit in the round so there is no seaming. You will need to know how to join and knit in the round to make this cowl. You also need to know how to knit, purl, and slip stitch knitwise. The pattern is a 2 row repeat. I have given instructions for the wider pink version that is 11 in. wide and the blue version that is 9 in. wide. Both cowls are approx. 24 inches around and slide over the head very easily. You may sell your finished items made from my pattern. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Basic knitting skills Knowledge of how to join in round GAUGE not important SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 24inches around by 11in. wide or 9in. wide SUGGESTED YARN 180 yards of Bulky weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Lion Homespun COLORWAY Cherry Blossom or Blue Delft
