This knitting pattern is for a seeded rib knit hat that is knit in the round on circular knitting needles so there is no seam. The hat is one size, for an average size adult or teenager head - the stitch used is stretchy since it is a rib knit and is comfortable to wear. The hat measures approx. 18 inches around, not stretched. There are two version in the pattern, one with a turned up cuff and the other is a little shorter, without the cuff or band. To knit this hat you will need to know how to knit in the round using circular knitting needles, knit, purl and knit 2 together. The pattern is a 2 row repeat and there are tables included with the pattern to keep track of which row-round you are on. The needle size is a US 10 so it knits up pretty quick. The yarn used for this pattern was Urban by Loops and Threads but any #4 weight yarn can be used for this pattern - you will need about 200 yards of yarn, a little less for the shorter version. You may sell any finished items made from this pattern.
