Pattern Details

Seed stitch is a very simple pattern to work, and the slip stitch rib adds just the right touch to make this a lovely cardigan. The narrow ribs at the base of the sweater are worked again in the cuffs, button plackets and collar, which creates a wonderful sense of harmony and flow - something we can never have too much of! The yarn I used works up at a gauge of 5 sts per inch in Stockinette stitch; if you wish to use a different yarn, make sure you find one that will match this gauge. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY knit, purl, pick up stitches, increase, decrease GAUGE 18 sts and 31 rows = 4" (10 cm) in Seed and Slip Stitch Wide Rib Pattern, using larger needles SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS XS (35") to 5X (63.5")

At 6' tall, I used to have a hard time finding sweaters with long enough sleeves. So I took up knitting to make my own sweaters.
