Pattern Details

This rugged and warm men's aran sweater is a fantastic sweater for the man in your life. I made this sweater at the request of a friend who had been telling me for a couple of years about how his mother made him sweaters, knitting without even looking. Then when he grew, she would rip it out and re-knit in a bigger size. He wanted a sweater that he could wear to work outside as a top layer, so he would not have to wear a coat. This is the result! I am a knitwear designer and teacher with a full time job and a family. I learned to knit, crochet, sew, cross stitch, etc. from my mother as a child. I think I jumped from craft to craft more often than I would like to admit! Knitting has become my main focus. I love to create new designs, and to figure out new ways of doing things. I really want my designs to be easy to wear, AND well fitting and flattering. There is no need to take all the time to make something if it is not going to be worn! Although I love to create a well fitting, good looking cardigan or pullover, I also really like to crank out accessories. There is nothing like the feeling of getting a project, or a new pattern done! I self publish. Those are the designs that you see here on Craftsy. I also design for yarn companies and knitting publications on a regular basis.
